Supervision

Supervision training aims to give people the knowledge, skills and awareness to work effectively as a supervisor. This training is of interest to pyschoterapists, counselors, psychologists and other related professionals.

The Institute offers individual and group supervision to counsellors and psychotherapists. While this generally takes place in the Institute, it is possible to arrange for groups to receive supervision elsewhere e.g. in their place of work.

Supervision training is offered in two parts:

  • Part 1: Preparation for Practice, where practitioners receive training in skills and theoretical models to allow them to prepare to deliver supervision.
  • Part 2: Practitioners receive support as they begin to practice supervision of this practice and professional development input to help them work ethically and to the standards of appropriate professional bodies.
